Year 8 Netball Tournament

Our Year 8 netball club was able to field two teams in the first tournament of the year, on Thursday 29th October, which is testament to the commitment shown by the students attending Netball Club on Thursdays after school. With the teams being composed of a mixture of students new to representing the school and those who had done so in Year 7, one of the standout features of the tournament was the way that the more experienced students supported those taking part in representative sport for the first time.

All of the students worked extremely hard in their matches and it was obvious that they grew in confidence as the tournament progressed. Between the two teams they managed to win 6 of their 9 games, which is a fantastic achievement. However, perhaps more importantly, they also had a great deal of fun! Well done girls – we are very proud of you for embodying the school values of Aspire, Enjoy, Achieve.
