Return of the East Leicester Athletics Championships

The return of the East Leicester Athletics Championships at Saffron Lane, for the first time since lockdown, was greeted with excitement by both the students and the whole of the PE department… it didn’t let us down!

76 KS3 students attended the event and represented the school with impeccable sportsmanship and behaviour. The combined noise of the 7 competing schools created an amazing atmosphere, and when coupled with our Year 7 girls chanting, waving cheerleading pom poms and holding banners our students felt very well supported.

Many of our students finished on the podium and have been selected to represent East Leicester at the County Schools Athletics Championships.

We are very proud of all who competed. Well done everyone.
