Extended Induction

At the start of the academic year Miss Wadher from our Inclusion team ran a self-esteem and positivity group with some of our new Year 7s. The group encouraged students to share their feelings about the big move to secondary and to help them to settle into life at Soar Valley. Students expressed their thoughts and feelings about their transition to secondary education through drawing and painting activities, and by making clay sculptures. The students were able to choose what they would like to make and they got stuck in straight away. Students really enjoyed the activity and were able to take their creations home where we are sure their proud parents have their creations on display.
